Aeonium thrives in a medium moist environment. The plant will curl its leaves. You water your plant every 7 to 10 days. Since they are arid, you should allow the soil to dry up completely before the next watering. Also, drain out any excess water on the pot. Do not soak your plant to avoid root rot.
Aeonium requires regular feeding during its growth phase. Fertilize them with diluted water-soluble fertilizers or other recommended succulent fertilizer once per month. Avoid over-feeding it, particularly in its dormant stage.
Aeonium can grow in full or partial sunlight. They have survival strategies to endure hot climates. Position your plant in a place where it will access sufficient sunlight during the day. However, limit its exposure to the hot sun to avoid sunburns.
The ideal temperature range for growing Aeonium is between 18°C and 20°C. Aeonium can survive cold temperatures but not below 5°C.
Aeonium requires repotting every 2 to 3 years. A good indicator that they need repotting is the development of aerial roots on the stem. When repotting, go for a pot with a broader diameter than the current one or that of the plant.
