Watering
When watering Dracaena Massangeana & fragrans make sure the soil mix is thoroughly soaked and drain off the excess water, which is why it's important to plant them on a well-drained soil. The soil should stay moderately dry between waterings. Rainwater is excellent!

Fertilizer
Dracaenas should be fertilized with a water-soluble commercial houseplant fertilizer. Look for a fertilizer with a nitrogen-phosphorous-potassium ratio of 3:1:2 plus traces of zinc, sodium, manganese, copper and iron.

Light
Dracaena Massangeana needs moderate to bright indirect light and is ideal for offices or fluorescent lighting. Avoid direct sunlight as this may burn or bleach the leaves.

Temperature
Temperature. Dracaenas need warmth to grow well. Provide a temperature range of 65 – 75º F. (Exception: Dracaena draco can tolerate a low temperature down to 50° F.)

Repotting
To repot your indoor cane tree, remove the plant and root ball from its pot. Shake off all dirt from around the roots and run water over the roots to rinse them. Gently try to untangle roots if necessary. Prune off any brown, mushy roots.
